Slower skin renewal cycle
After the age of 35 years, the rate at which our skin cells renew declines from the 42-day cycle of our youth. By age 50, the cycle at which our skin cells renew slows to around 45-84 days. As a result, dead skin cells are pushed to the surface at a slower rate, leading to dry, dehydrated and dull skin. The key to stopping the skin ageing process is to restore the skin renewal cycle to a healthy and youthful 42-day cycle.
Changes in the facial structure
Working on the skin alone is not enough keep the signs of ageing in abeyance. Your facial structure is a combination of bone, muscle, fat and skin. This alters over time in response to hormonal changes as we age.
