WHAT IS IT?

Ultherapy® is a non-invasive alternative to surgery, which was once the only option to lift lax skin on the face and neck. Ultherapy® is currently the only FDA-approved device approved for this purpose.
It harnesses the power of ultrasonic energy to reach the dermis and the deeper, strong fibrous tissue layer above the underlying facial muscles that is rich in collagen and elastin. Your body’s natural response to this energy is to recondition tired skin by stimulating the growth of new collagen and elastin. With a single treatment, the result is a tightening and gradual lifting of the skin back into its more youthful position, with lifted facial contours and a reduction in lines and wrinkles.

WHAT IS THE DURATION?

WHAT TO EXPECT?
Some discomfort will be experienced during the procedure, but this is tolerable and patients complete their treatment without any problem. Discomfort is managed before treatment with the application of numbing cream and an oral analgesic.
The treatment duration depends on the area treated. Treatment for the whole face and neck takes 1 hour, while treatment for the chin takes 15 minutes.
You will see a gradual tightening and lifting over the next 2 to 3 months, resulting in a natural lift. The skin will look refreshed and healthy.
DOWNTIME
The treated area may also bruise or be tender, but that is a normal response to the treatment and typically resolves within 3 days to 2 weeks after treatment. This can be concealed easily with mineral-based makeup.
Patients are able to return to their normal routine at the end of treatment.
Optimal results are expected in about three to six months’ time.
