Dr Timothy Shim

Dr Timothy Shim is a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon with experience in aesthetic surgery and advanced reconstructive procedures. As an Adjunct Plastic Surgeon at Rexults Clinic, he brings expertise in facial rejuvenation, breast surgery and body contouring.

Clinical Interests

His clinical interests include eyebag removal, double eyelid creation, facelifts, breast augmentation, liposuction and fat grafting. His reconstructive experience also encompasses procedures following breast, head and neck, and skin cancers, as well as lower limb reconstruction and facial trauma.

Dr Shim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2002 and subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Master of Medicine in Surgery. He completed his advanced training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2011, followed by subspecialty training in supermicrosurgery at the University of Tokyo Hospital. He became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, in Plastic Surgery in 2013.

Before entering private practice, Dr Shim served as a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Programme Director of the National Healthcare Group’s Plastic Surgery Training Programme. He has also held clinical teaching roles at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Beyond clinical practice and medical education

Dr Shim is committed to community service and has participated in regular medical mission trips.
