Lower Blepharoplasty
Refine The Lower Eyelids With Surgical Precision
Lower Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that improves the contour of the lower eyelids by addressing under-eye bags, excess skin and protruding fat pads. Depending on your anatomy, the procedure may involve removing or repositioning excess fat and tightening or trimming loose skin to restore a smoother, more refreshed lower eyelid appearance.
What Is Lower Blepharoplasty?
Lower Blepharoplasty is a doctor-performed procedure designed to rejuvenate the lower eyelids. It is commonly recommended for patients with prominent under-eye bags, loose lower eyelid skin or age-related changes affecting the lower eye contour.
The procedure is highly individualised. Depending on your needs, excess fat may be removed or repositioned, while excess skin may be tightened to achieve a smoother transition between the lower eyelid and upper cheek.

How Lower Blepharoplasty Works
What to Expect
-
Your surgeon assesses the skin, fat pads and lower eyelid support to determine the most appropriate surgical technique.
-
The procedure is usually performed under local anaesthesia and may be combined with sedation depending on the treatment plan.
-
An incision is made either just beneath the lower eyelashes or inside the lower eyelid (transconjunctival approach), depending on your anatomy. Excess fat may be removed or repositioned before the incision is closed.
-
Swelling, bruising and mild discomfort are expected during the first one to two weeks. Patients are generally advised to avoid strenuous activity during the early healing period.
-
As swelling settles over the following weeks, the lower eyelids appear smoother and more youthful, with the final result becoming increasingly refined.
