Dr Stephanie Young is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery. As an Adjunct Oculoplastic Surgeon at Rexults Clinic, she brings expertise in functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery, as well as conditions affecting the tear drainage system and orbit.

Clinical Interests

Her clinical interests include droopy eyelid correction, double eyelid creation, eyelid malpositions and surgical and non-surgical rejuvenation around the eyes. Her approach considers both eye function and appearance, with treatment tailored to each patient’s anatomy, concerns and needs.

Dr Young completed her ophthalmology training at National University Hospital, followed by fellowship training in orbital and oculofacial surgery and ophthalmic oncology. She subsequently spent a year at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea, gaining further experience in functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery, endoscopic tear drainage surgery and complex orbital procedures.

She holds fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. An active contributor to oculoplastic research, she has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters, and has received awards from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology.

Beyond clinical practice

Dr Young is committed to community eye care, supporting free eye screening programmes in Singapore and participating in overseas outreach to communities with limited access to specialist care.
