Fat Grafting
Restore Natural Volume Using Your Own Living Tissue
Fat Grafting, also known as Fat Transfer, is a surgical procedure that restores lost volume using your body's own fat. Fat is gently harvested from one area of the body, purified and strategically transferred to areas requiring volume restoration or contour enhancement. Because your own tissue is used, the procedure provides a natural approach to restoring facial and body contours.
What Is Fat Grafting?
Fat Grafting is a doctor-performed procedure in which healthy fat is harvested from areas such as the abdomen or thighs using gentle liposuction techniques. The fat is then carefully processed before being injected into areas requiring additional volume or contour correction.
It is commonly performed to restore age-related facial volume loss, improve contour irregularities or enhance selected facial and body features using autologous (your own) tissue.

How Fat Grafting Works
What to Expect
-
Your surgeon assesses facial or body volume loss, identifies suitable donor areas and develops a personalised treatment plan.
-
Under local or general anaesthesia, a small amount of fat is gently harvested using liposuction from an appropriate donor site such as the abdomen or thighs.
-
The harvested fat is purified before being strategically injected into the treatment area using fine cannulas to achieve balanced and natural contours.
-
Swelling, bruising and tenderness may occur at both the donor and treatment sites during the first one to two weeks. Patients are generally advised to avoid strenuous activity during the early healing period.
-
As swelling subsides, the transferred fat settles into the surrounding tissues. A proportion of the transferred fat naturally integrates with the body, contributing to longer-term volume restoration.
