Dr. Timothy Shim is an experienced plastic surgeon with a refined practice encompassing aesthetic, reconstructive, and microsurgical surgery. His clinical focus includes aesthetic surgery, such as eyelid rejuvenation, eyebag removal, double eyelid crease creation, breast augmentation, liposuction and fat grafting, and face lifting. He is also highly experienced in advanced reconstructive techniques involving the breast, head and neck, skin cancers, lower limb reconstruction, and facial trauma.

 

Prior to private practice, Dr. Shim was a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He also served as Programme Director for the National Healthcare Group’s Plastic Surgery Training Programme, where he played an integral role in specialist training. Alongside his clinical work, he held academic appointments as a clinical tutor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. He continues to contribute to public healthcare as a Visiting Consultant with the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Service at TTSH.

Dr. Shim graduated from NUS in 2002 and went on to obtain his Membership of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Edinburgh, as well as a Master in Medicine (Surgery). He completed his advanced specialty training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in 2011 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (Plastic Surgery) in 2013. He further refined his expertise through subspecialty training in supermicrosurgery at The University of Tokyo Hospital.
