TCA CROSS

WHAT IS IT

TCA (Tricholoroacetic acid) CROSS is the chemical reconstruction of skin scars that involves depositing small amounts of TCA at high concentration onto the surface of the atrophic scar. It causes a local inflammatory reaction that leads to the formation of new collagen fibres. The depth of the scar decreases resulting in a smoother, resurfaced appearance.

DURATION

30mins

WHAT TO EXPECT

After the skin is cleansed and prepped, high concentration of TCA is applied very precisely onto each scar with a small applicator. The solution is left to dry and can be washed off after a few hours.

DOWNTIME

There may be temporary redness that lasts for several hours. As the skin undergoes a healing process, “white” frosting on the treated scars may be seen. This typically disappears within half a day.

Small scabs will develop and fall off after 3 to 7 days, revealing new skin beneath. Sun protection is strongly advised.
